An exciting role is available for a dynamic and hands-on Project Director to lead national implementation of a corporate/community initiative to improve student outcomes across Australia. This initiative involves collaboration between 3 not-for profit organisations and a blue chip corporation.

With conceptual design completed we seek a Project Director to build the next stage of functional design, operational capability and implementation over a 3 year period. Leading the team (which you are required to build) of 4 project managers and administrative staff you will be required to work with all project partners and report to the CEO of a not-for-profit organisation.

You will have demonstrated ability to manage complex long term partnership projects that deliver high quality research and social outcomes. The excellent stakeholder management skills you possess will be required for building relationships across diverse organisations and communicating in the classroom and the boardroom. Your proven adaptability to new and exciting challenges, your decision making prowess and respect for deadlines will be crucial in successfully leading your team.

Key Selection Criteria
• Demonstrated success in leading complex and innovative projects.
• Ability to effectively develop and implement strategy.
• Excellent project management skills including managing agreements with subcontractors.
• Recognised ability to effectively build a team within short timeframes.
• Experience working with diverse organisations simultaneously.
• Sound knowledge of the education landscape in Australia specifically primary and secondary schools.
• Experience working within or alongside a large business in Australia, in a project management role.
• First rate financial management skills.
• Demonstrated capacity to identify and mitigate risk in large scale projects.
• Well-honed presentation and facilitation skills, including experience training others.
• Proven understanding of public relations and media management.
• Able to travel across Australia as required.
